Kathleen Kane-Murrell’s lifelong interest in art, education, and the creative process has nurtured three careers. After graduating with a degree in marketing from San Diego State University, she worked as a corporate trainer and manager.

In 1990, she translated corporate skills into an award-winning children’s art program, Fine Artists™.  Since 1990, her art program has trained thousands of volunteers and children at numerous schools in San Diego. During Covid isolation, Kathleen created an online platform and continued to teach her Fine Artists Program to children and adults. She is currently the resident artist training over 100 volunteer docents to serve a student population of 800 children at Ellen Browning Scripps Elementary, San Diego, California.

Kane-Murrell’s professional art career began in 2007. Since then she has exhibited throughout San Diego and Southern California, including solo shows in Liberty Station, Ray Street Arts District, Japanese Friendship Garden Museum San Diego, and Sophie’s Gallery. She has been selected for numerous exhibitions including Oceanside Museum of Art, Cannon Gallery, San Diego Art Institute, La Jolla Athenaeum and Sparks Gallery. Her work is in personal collections throughout the United States, Japan, and Singapore.

She is currently represented by Sparks Gallery, San Diego, California.
